Hey folks! Anyone here played around with tweaking the Fiat’s PIM (one pedal driving) controller? I’m looking to pump up the power and performance of my ride. Got any cool insights or experiences about this?

Thanks Julio.

The go pedal definitely amps up responsiveness and makes driving a blast. But even at its chillest setting, it can be a bit too twitchy for our regen kick-in. EVs usually don’t hit you with full power right off the bat, they build it up gradually, though some ramp up faster than others. Personally, I’m not after that extra jolt at the start (not that it’d really damage anything, but still), I’d just rather get the most out of the motor’s potential.

I haven’t tweaked the Fiat’s PIM controller myself, but cranking it up can definitely make one-pedal driving feel more responsive! Just be mindful of how it affects regen braking, it can get pretty intense.

Tweaking the PIM for more power is a pretty interesting idea, but it is something that not so many have done on their 500e.
The PIM is a critical component, and there aren’t really any performance tunes or mods widely available for it yet (as far as I know).
If you want to enhance the driving feel, check out a throttle response controller like the Pedal Commander.
It won’t change the power output, but it can make the throttle more responsive and give you that zippier feeling.

This thing has a ton of power right from the start! It can even make the tires spin, even on the grippiest tires.

Some people say the power meter doesn't always show the real power, but I think it's just the meter being slow. This car's got serious power!

The go pedal is definitely more responsive, but even on the lowest setting, it's still too sensitive for regen braking. All EVs gradually increase power, some faster than others. I wouldn't want more power off the line it could damage things. What I really want is to unlock the full power of the motor for a few seconds, if the voltage allows it. That extra burst of speed would be awesome!
