Hey all! I am thinking about updating the cabin and boot lights to LED for a brighter, cleaner look. Has anyone done this upgrade? Curious about what type of bulbs you used and any installation tips. Also (hope I am not asking for too much), any recommendations on brands or brightness levels would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Upgrading to LED lights is like giving your car a spa day! I recommend Sylvania and Philips for brightness. :)

Ensure that it is compatible with 500e's computer system. Look for LEDs labeled "CAN-bus ready."

@Scotty's recommendation is good. What colors have you thought about?

Oh that's a nice touch to upgrade your cabin and boot lights to LED. Lots of people do this kind of upgrade.

When choosing bulbs though you'll need to know the correct bulb sizes for your car so check your manual. I like Philips, Osram, or even some of the higher-quality aftermarket LED brands.

Brightness is a personal preference though but many people find that going a little brighter than the stock bulbs is a good improvement without being blinding.

If you're not familiar with installation, it's usually pretty straightforward, most interior lights just pop out, and you can swap the bulbs. Just be careful not to pry too hard and break any clips.
