Does anyone know if a radio that will fit gas-powered 500s from 2015 will also fit the 500e?

I was going to purchase a Jensen CAR813 from Crutchfield. The salesperson online said he could find no documentation on any of their radios about whether the wiring diagram is the same between the 500e and other 500s. He suggested that I turn to use forum ... so here I am! ;]

I'm also curious whether anyone has had good / bad experiences with different brands of radios. It will be our first attempt to buy and install something like this.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hey there! Welcome to the forum!
Good news for you! A radio from the gas-powered 2015 Fiat 500 physically speaking fits the 500e as well because they have similar dash layouts. I am not sure if there are wiring differences or not.
Though, I am sure that pin 41 needs a 12V signal for the amp.

Regarding this
It is a single-DIN unit with a 9-inch display. It should fit. But I don't know what to say about the space behind the dash. I hope this helps. Good luck with everything!

I haven't messed with the radio in a 500e myself, but I've heard the wiring's the same as the gas-powered 500s from that year. But since the 500e has some weird electronics, it's always good to double-check, especially with that CAN bus stuff.

If you're going with the Jensen CAR813, get a wiring harness adapter to make things easier and avoid chopping up your car's wiring. Crutchfield's usually good at recommending harnesses, but if they don't have anything for the 500e, maybe compare the wiring diagrams for both models. I've had good luck with Pioneer and Kenwood in other small cars. Good sound and they usually integrate well.
