I’m about to lease a Fiat 500e but don’t have the option to install a home charger, it’s just too pricey for me right now, with most setups I’ve seen starting at around £700. Even the lower-end options are still more than I can stretch for, and with the government grant applications full, it’s looking like public charging is my only route.

My driving needs are pretty light, around 40 miles or so before payday, and I usually add about £20-£25 in fuel with the odd £10 here and there if needed. Just wondering if anyone else here relies entirely on public chargers for their 500e, or any EV for that matter? How doable is it? I’d love to hear how it’s been working out for others before I commit.

Uhmm using public chargers for your Fiat 500e is definitely, especially with your driving habits...Plan routes and charging times carefully

Agree with @Scotty, it really depends on how much you drive and what charging options you have. If you only drive a little, a standard outlet might be enough. But if you need to charge faster, you can use a higher-powered outlet or public chargers.
