I just got my hands on a 2014 Fiat 500E, and while I was excited at first, I’m starting to feel a bit concerned. After diving into this forum, I noticed something odd: my HV battery pack is showing a reading of just 5.71 volts.

I’m wondering if I’ve set my voltmeter incorrectly or if something is truly amiss. I’ve tried resetting the system by disconnecting the 12V battery and going through the HV fuse and battery disconnect steps for a solid 30 hours. But I’m still stuck on this low reading. I might have to drop the HV pack soon, but I would want to wait till I can arrange the OBD to eliminate any possible codes. Any ideas ?

If possible, it would be wise to get some help with scanning the car and checking out what’s flashing on the dashboard. That way, you’ll get a better grip on what’s going on!

Appreciate the suggestion! I think you’re right, getting an OBD scanner on it would help clear up what’s really going on before I start worrying too much. I’ve been hesitant to drop the HV pack without knowing if there are any error codes that might explain the low voltage reading.

I’ll try to arrange a scan as soon as possible so I can get a better idea of what’s happening. Hopefully, it’s just a small glitch and not something more serious with the battery. 😓
