I'm about to have my 2015 500e serviced, but the ABS and RBS lights came on. They said it was the brakes. The regen brakes aren't working properly, the brakes feel squishy, and the brake fluid levels are low. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Ups! What happened? Or when it happened?
It is the first time when I hear this one.
Tell them to refill the brake fluid. Also, did they inspect the brake pads, rotors, and calipers for wear? These might cause issues if they are worn out.

Low brake fluid maybe? I would prioritize checking that. You are right @MacarenaSeat24. Do you know what happens when does are not ok? It can lead to a "squishy" feel and impact regen braking.

@TireTreader164 I would ask them for a full inspection of the entire brake system if the issue will persist after they refill the fluid.

Have you checked for any leaks? They might be linked to the ABS or the Regenerative Brake modules. Just a thought!

One potential culprit could be a wonky Master Brake Cylinder, trust me, I’ve been in that boat. My 2015 ride has been out of commission for ages because of this hassle. I swapped out the MBC, but now I’m wrestling with getting a legit version of AlfaOBD to bleed the brakes. It keeps tossing out an ECU error, and let me tell you, it’s driving me nuts!
