He’s got a solid point about EV ranges dropping over time and becoming less practical, but it sucks to think even a well-kept car might not be worth fixing.

His testing methods could definitely use some work, too. Plus, he kind of missed that as batteries age, the horsepower goes down too. You really notice it with high-performance rides like Teslas - range might still be decent, but that power drop is super noticeable when the battery starts fading.
 
I’ve got a daily commute of about 10 miles, and let me tell you, despite having ongoing battery issues, I’ll keep driving this ride until it literally can’t go anymore, even if it means shelling out $700 for repairs.

Absolutely, plus running the AC can really drain the battery. Modern heat pump ACs are way better in that regard, more efficient and handle power consumption much better.
