Upgrading my 500e battery

DIY or Shop? Scored a dream 2015 500e with low miles in 2019, but after 75k miles the battery's definitely feeling its age. Especially in last winterwhere highway range is down to 40 miles. Anyone done a DIY upgrade with newer cells? I read some did it DIY, shops an option but hoping someone US knows a place that does this! Open to ideas, but gotta keep the backseats for the kiddos.

It would be good to scan the battery pack first, especially when it's low on charge. It might help you pinpoint the issue more easily.

Some people thought we could upgrade our batteries with the newer ones, since they looked the same size. But they're actually a bit taller. Even if we change the BPCM, there's still not enough room.
