Between two Fiat 500e models, I'm trying to choose and could really benefit some community advice. With these specifics:

Option A: Older model, more mileage, but with an error (not sure how major yet).
Option B: Newer model, lower mileage, error-free but it will cost an additional $2k.

Which one? assuming you were in my position, would you choose? I'm leaning toward getting comments from other Fiat 500e owners, particularly anyone who has dealt with older models or has encountered comparable problems.

Please feel free to share your choice. Would find interest in your opinions.

I’m leaning towards Option B, but honestly, Option A could just need some codes cleared with AlfaOBD, and it might be all good. But if it turns out to be a big problem, well, that’s a whole lot of hassle and headaches waiting to happen. There’s definitely some risk with the cheaper option.

So yeah, I think splurging an extra 2k on Option B is totally worth it to avoid the gamble with Option A - who knows if fixing it will end up costing way more than 2k? Better safe than sorry, yeah?

Got any clue what the issue is with that old model? Is it a big deal or just a minor hiccup?

If you’re planning to go with Option A, check out the issues first. Knowing what's up can save you from pricey repairs and keep you safe on the road! Trust me, you don’t want to be surprised later!

leaning toward Option B. The extra $2k might sting upfront, but it sounds like a safer bet overall, especially it’s error-free. With Option A, it’s a gamble—sometimes it’s just a minor issue that can be fixed easily with something like AlfaOBD, but if it’s something more serious, you could end up sinking a lot more than $2k into repairs.

for peace of mind and less potential hassle, Option B is probably worth the splurge. I’ve seen people deal with older models that ended up being money pits because of unexpected issues. In the long run, paying extra for the newer model might save you from a ton of headaches. Have you had a chance to check out Option A’s error codes yet? That could give you a clearer idea of what you’re dealing with.
