My 500e stopped working unexpectedly this morning, and I noticed that the ABS, RBS, and ESC warning lights turned on at the same time. Could a faulty 12V battery be the cause? I'd like to get your opinion before taking it to the dealer.
Agreed. There are times when simply disconnecting the humidity sensor does the trick. It sounds like there's a bug in the startup routine that's causing all sorts of problems. The humidity sensor seems particularly unreliable, which is frustrating because it can lead to unnecessary AC use. If the sensor test takes too long, it can interfere with other sensors, like the wheel speed sensors, and cause the car to malfunction. It's a real pain, and I hope they can fix it soon.
For me, yup, a wonky 12V battery can definitely kick those warning lights into gear, messing with your ride's electronic systems. It’s a smart move to check the battery first, could save you a trip to the dealer and some serious cash!My 500e stopped working unexpectedly this morning, and I noticed that the ABS, RBS, and ESC warning lights turned on at the same time.
