My 500e is currently experiencing some electrical issues but one thing I noticed is that the e-brake is engaged all the time. This is something unusual since it just happened out of the blue. It's hard to release it. Tried all methods that I have in mind but still it won't. Have you guys encountered this?

Try this one. When you press the start button, do not immediately slam on the brakes. Hold off on the brake for a second, then press it. Now, shift into neutral and release the e-brake.

Tried doing it your way but man it didnt work. Now I have to go to the local dealer to get it serviced. Just gonna keep you guys updated.

Mine just wont budge my man, I tried doing it your way and I still couldnt get it fixed, I already have an appointment with the dealership. but if someone still has a different way then that would be much appreciated.

My dealer electrically disconnected the actuators and supplied 12V to the two poles inside.

Switch + and - to release or apply the brake.
