Yo, folks! I’m in a bit of a pickle trying to link up with the CAN bus on my Fiat 500e. I’ve thrown a bunch of laptops and adapters at it, but no luck at all. Anyone else had this struggle or got some sneaky tips? Would love some help here!

When your battery’s basically running on empty (you know, below 0%), your wireless connections might start acting all sketchy. So grab an OBDLink SX or EX cable for better results. Oh, and if you haven’t already, give it a shot without that pesky yellow adapter. Trust me, modules like the BPCM, PIM, OBC, and EVCM are not fans of that thing.

Does the display stay lit? If yes, you should be able to connect to OBD. I have experienced it with someone's car. It wouldn't connect unless we closed both doors and the hatch. After two minutes the screen went off completely. After we opened the door and used the key, it stayed on, and with OBC connected.
