Just bought a (possibly) scammed 2014 500e with a dead 12v, blinking odometer, and HV battery stuck at 47%. Replaced the 12v but nada. There are signs of life (clicking connector at charger) but no dice on charging. ETS (legend!) suggested documenting the issues, and proxy alignment seems like a must.

Question for ETS is do I still need to unplug the HV/12v for 10-20 hours before using an OBDLink SX for the reset? Or can we skip that step since we have the fancy tools?

just as you said, you already have the fancy tools, just skip that part and diagnose your vehicle for less hassle, I don't think it will have any implications on what the scanner will show you.
