Sharing something I discovered! Forget removing the giant battery pack when you have a blinking odometer and stuck HV battery of a possibly possibly dead 500e. Turns out all I needed was a working 12v battery! Replaced the dead one and was able to run full system scans. Looks like the HV pack is okay, just needed some juice in the 12v system to wake everything up. More details to come, but hoping this helps someone else avoid a meltdown (and save their back from wrestling a 600-lb battery). Anyone else have experience with a dead 12v causing these kinds of issues?
Let me know how you fixed it!

Thanks for the tip man, my odometer is blinking and I have been experiencing other issues as well, I was wondering what caused these problems to pop up. you just technically fixed my problem thanks so much

To test it out, you can use a low-cost scanner (there are lots of it online) However, if you plan to keep the 500e, you should purchase a genuine OBDLink cable.
