Hi, everyone!
Recently I bought my first electric car. I am new here in this EV space.
Fortunately, I live somewhere where it doesn't rain too much. But I am still being too cautious (in my opinion I am prudent).
I am very cautious with my charger because I created the space for the charging stuff (using a GFCI outlet) in such a way that wouldn't be risky if some rain came. Though, if the rain and the wind work together, there is a little chance that the outlet/surge protector could get splashed.
Because of this little change, I chose to unplug the car and turn off the power switch on the surge protector.
Do you think am I being too cautious? Please note that I don't have to charge every night, because I drive less than 10 miles daily.
I would appreciate some thoughts on this, please!
