hi!

I want to replace the Master Brake Cylinder. I use the AlfaOBD for the bleed procedure. But I get an error whenever I try to run it. It seems that the ECU firmware is outdated. In this case, I think I have to use WiTech for the update.
But I don't know exactly the necessary equipment, the procedure for registering, the actual flash procedure, and the software itself.
So, any WiTech experts here with a few helpful suggestions? I don't want to do anything wrong... though, I have to fix the problem, because the car is undrivable with no brakes.

Thanks in advance.

I don't want to discourage you, but this is tough work.

First, you need a licensed WiTech diagnostic tool.

You need the WiTech VCI pod or MicroPod 2. Then download the software after you register at Mopar Tech Authority. Take your laptop and connect the VCI pod or MicroPod 2 to the OBD-II port. After that, run the software. Check if there are any ECU updates. After that, retry the AlfaOBD bleed procedure.

Before anything, I would back up the ECU. And make sure your car's battery is charged.

I hope it helps.

You are right! It sounds like a more complicated process than I initially thought. I will get the WiTech and make sure to back up the ECU. Thanks!
