I was at a mechanic shop today and they brought in a Fiat 500e with error codes P0A1F and P1E25 and it couldn't read the full BPCM system status, even after disabling the humidity sensor, doing a 30-hour 12V/HV reboot, clearing codes from 17 modules, and cycling the key over 10 times.

But the problem was fixed by replacing the BPCM with a used one, confirming it was the cause of the issue. I just thought to share with everyone.

So in other words, a bad BPCM can show as a persistent P0A1F and P1E25 error.

Thanks for sharing Scotty,
But what exactly does the BPCM do, and how does it affect the car's performance if it starts failing?

So the BPCM basically keeps an eye on the battery's health and power distribution. If it starts to fail, you might notice sluggish acceleration and potential overheating, which can seriously affect your ride.

@Sandy In addition to what @Scotty said. Think of the BMS/BPCM as the brain of your car's battery. It's super important because it keeps the battery running smoothly, which directly impacts how well your car performs. If the BMS/BPCM isn't working right, you could see problems like:
  • Reduced fuel efficiency: Your car won't go as far on a tank of gas, costing you more money.
  • Battery failure: The worst-case scenario! Your battery could die completely, leaving you stranded and facing expensive repairs.
But that's not all. The BMS/BPCM also plays a big role in keeping you and your passengers safe. If the battery isn't working correctly, your car might stall or refuse to start, which could be really dangerous, especially if you're in a hurry or facing an emergency.

I have a Fiat 500 with a problem with the BPCM code POEDD where I need the flash file to fix it. Does anyone have it?

presents HYBRID BATTERY UNIT CHARGE STATE CONDITION DETERIORATION

Has anyone experienced this problem?

Glad to hear you got it sorted, though. It’s crazy how something like a bad BPCM can cause so many issues, especially with error codes like that. I didn’t realize it had such a big impact on things like aceleration and overheating. Definitely good to know if anyone else runs into similar issues with their Fiat 500e. Appreciate you sharing this!
