I’ve noticed lately that my outside temperature reading has been quite a bit off. It showed 124°F when the actual temperature outside was around 110°F. I think the sensor is located in the passenger mirror, and the car had been sitting in the sun, but the difference seems to be bigger over time.
The cabin AC is working fine, so i think there are no issues there, and from what I’ve read, the HV battery has its own sensors, so I don’t think this is related to the battery. But does the outside temp reading really matter, especially with this much variance? Has anyone else noticed this happening, or is it just normal wear and tear? Would love to hear your thoughts.
